Starting on Saturday June 25th, I will be on vacation until Wednesday July 6th!! It’s crazy how long it’s been since I’ve taken more than a couple of days off in a row. Going on vacation is just not something I typically do but with everything that’s gone on in the past few months, I seriously need the time off. I need time and space just to do nothing – have no obligations, no external demands, nothing to think about. I am so looking forward to it.
The hardest part of taking time off will be stepping away from my work and my shops. I’ve worked so hard over the past few years to build up my business that I don’t want to lose the momentum that I’m finally achieving. I also love doing the work that I do.
I may end up working on product development while I’m on vacation because I just can’t help myself but what I’m really hoping to do is get back to my writing – the core of who I am. It’s been too long since I’ve given myself the space to do it. (If you don’t know, I’m also eroticwritergirl. Kinky Ink Press is my publishing house.)
I happen to live in a resort town in Western Michigan so I may not even go anywhere next week and enjoy being a tourist in my own town. (I took the beach pic 10 minutes from my house.) The problem with this is that it’ll probably be a lot more challenging for me not to work.
I think it’s important for everyone to take time off now and then. I plan to use this time to regroup, to reconnect with myself and to just chill out.
I will be back in my office on Wednesday July 6th. Any orders placed while I’m gone will be processed on Wednesday July 6th and shipped on Thursday July 7th. If you don’t want to wait that long, be sure to place any orders by Friday June 24, 2022 and I’ll be shipping it out on Saturday June 25th.
