try this little experiment with your partner for 7 days. keep it simple and don’t overthink it. just do one small thing per day for the next week and see what happens. then tell me about it below!
DAY 1 – ASK FOR SOMETHING
ask for one thing that you’d genuinely enjoy right now. keep it simple and specific, such as more praise, more structure, more affection, more teasing, etc.
DAY 2 – CREATE ONE SMALL RITUAL
be intentional with something you already do or create something new, such as kneeling before bed, greeting each other with a good morning message, putting on a collar, etc.
DAY 3 – BUILD ANTICIPATION
make your partner wait for something. tease it. let them know you have something special planned for later. sometimes anticipation is half the fun.
DAY 4 – SAY THE THING YOU USUALLY ONLY THINK
tell your partner when something they do that affects you, such as telling them “i love you when…” or “i feel most connected to you when…” you may be surprised at how powerful this can be.
DAY 5 – ADD POWER EXCHANGE TO SOMETHING ORDINARY
pick something ordinary and simple, such as getting dressed, making dinner or choosing where to sit. consciously bring it into your power exchange dynamic. sometimes it’s these little things that matter most.
DAY 6 – GIVE OR RECEIVE ONE ASSIGNMENT
keep it simple and even playful, such as wearing something in particular, writing something, completing a task, following one rule or sending a photo.
DAY 7 – ASK ONE QUESION
at the end of the week, as each other: which part of this week made you feel our dynamic the most? pay attention to the answer. these little pieces of information are how you can build a dynamic that fits the two of you rather than somebody else’s idea of what a power exchange dynamic is supposed to look like.
try the experiment and let me know which was your favorite below. i’m genuinely curious.
